Introducing IFR Analytics

IFR Analytics was founded in 2020 by second and third-generation independent family funeral home owners, Mike, Mark, and David Iles.

Combining their 60 years of collective funeral home management with engineering, business, and marketing backgrounds has allowed the team to develop proprietary analytical tools and solutions that greatly enhance their ability to effectively meet the challenges of today’s funeral service industry.

These proven solutions are data-driven and easy to implement which means IFR Analytics can help other funeral home operators achieve operational excellence and thrive.

Mike Iles

Mike has served as CFO of Iles Funeral Homes for 28 years. Combining his long-term operations experience with a background in Engineering and Management, Mike is the principal architect of the IFR Analytics tool. Mike is a Seley Scholar in recognition of academic excellence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Management and holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Nebraska. Mike is not only extremely well-versed in business operations, but he’s also personable and deeply committed to helping independent funeral homes succeed.

Mark Iles

Mark is President of Iles Funeral Homes. Previously he was General Manager and has worked in the industry for over 33 years. Mark is also an entrepreneur having founded PreNeed Systems, Inc. Combining his excellent people skills with an in-depth knowledge of business and finance, Mark brings a unique and positive perspective of the future of the independent funeral service industry. Mark graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.

David Iles

David is a third-generation funeral service provider. Having grown up with his father and grandfather working in the industry, he brings a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities for funeral service going forward. He joined the funeral home business in 2019 after several successful years working in Chicago in finance. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Iowa.
